Douglas John Friend has guided me deep into the Florida everglades, deep into the Belize rainforest, and numerous Mayan archaeological sites in Guatemalan, and instructing me on getting my P.A.D.I. Diving certificate. Friend also guided me underground through the caves branch caving system. Diving the coral reef from Belize to Honduras with Friend, was unforgettable and knowing he was watching over me made it a less stressful experience.
